Me and my partner are moving abroad in 6 weeks time. I have a personal loan which i pay 120 a month to and thats for the next 5 years. My partner owes ALOT and is on about going bankcrupt next week as he works full time yet he cannot pay off all the bills he owes. I know you have to pay 500 and go to court to become bankcrupt but what i want to know is can "they" stop us moving abroad straight after he has gone bankcrupt. Also my dad says we will never be able to come back to england if he goes bankcrupt then does a "runner" will he get in trouble? and how do i go about trying to pay a loan back to england when iam abroad when i prob wont be working for the first 3 months and then will travel the world? xx

Without going into the details I have paid nothing and have not been declared bankrupt. If you do declare yourself bankrupt you will still be liable for at least some of the debt.
