Water pressure in pipes
2 Answers
My cold water tap in my bath started lossing pressure about 8 months ago and over this time has steadily decreased to a pressureless dribble. However, it has now completely stopped coming out of the tap altoghter! I live in a purpose built block in West London c 1930...it hasn't happened to anyone elses taps, does anyone know why this is happening - is it something I can fix or is it a job for a plumber? If so, does anyone know any plumbers that they can recommend in my area. Thanks very much

If it's just that tap, sounds like just a washer. First buy a selection of new washers. Then turn off the cold supply from the cistern, and undo the tap to see what's going on. Replace washer as necessary, and turn on supply again. Run tap hard for a moment to clear out any crud from the mating surfaces.
If not confident, go with plan B -- the plumber.
