Child Contact
3 Answers
the non resident parent has not seen our child for 15 months now, recently CSA have got in touch about paying some money and within 2 weeks we received a solicitors letter saying she wants contact in which she made up 2 pages of lies about all sorts of events. I have got my solicitor to say I do not agree to contact and have left it at that. I have parental responsibility as I am on the birth certificate and she was born in 2004. There is no court order in place for custody so if she was to snatch her in which she has tried and also threatned in the past then there would be nothing I could do. I do not trust the non resident parent as she makes up lies, abducted my child from the country for 4 months sent a police officer to my house saying there is a paedophile living here (which there is not) and dodges paying CSA. She wants contact now purely because we're asking her for money, she has always used my child as a money train. The question I am asking is is there anyway I could stop her from having contact with my child, I do not see how her lies and manipulating would benefit her being in my childs life and the fact that she can just take my child without care of welfare. I have my child settled and in school doing very well I do not want that disrupted. Is there anything I can do as I know courts like contact with both parents.

I would however be more concerned with getting custody sorted as you rightly say she could snatch the child and there would be (I think) nothing you could do.
Did you get your solicitor to refute or deny the lies? if not it could be seen as admission by default (or something)

Yes our solicitor said in our reply letter that we say her history of events are completly false, I wanted to know if there was anything we could do to stop a judge from giving her contact, by proving how unstable she is, she wrote a letter to us once claiming she has bipolar and depression but its more munchausens diesise because of the extent of her lies etc
