I am wearing mine today. Pointing to 11 o'clock. Well, it is now - earlier it pointed inwards and stabbed my left breast - I didn't get much sympathy, just lots of suggestions and offers.

I have worn one since I found out what they represented - probably from the age of 14. That's 34 years of poppy wearing - whether they were 'fashionable' or 'PC' or not. Never thought of them in that way anyway - it's an acknowledgement & a thankful & supportive gesture, not a fashion statement.

Actually - a static lone poppy might have been more symbolic - this logo looks very much 'Country Flower-scape' - but that's not a criticism!!! It's the thought that matters :-)

I think Zac may be referring to the attitude that poppy wearing is somehow a patriotic duty as much as a charity appeal.

You'll be hard pressed to find a TV presenter not wearing one at this time of year and heaven help aybody who might dare to object to it.

It is not politically correct to do so
