Hi, all.
I made a thread titled:
Howe many of you are there?
/\ Typo Included...
And I want lots of people to answer it. So can you please do something for me.
I dislike having to promote it as people don't know where to look and then they're awkward etc.
Thanks in advance

PS--
I ask this because it was a rumour. I don't just expect you to do this. I just heard it could be done...
PPS--
I would like it to be sticky for as long as possible...

So we are awkward eh?

And you dislike promoting it - - - - - well don't!
Question Author
It seemed apparent I had no other choice.
no other choice? how about just leaving it to disappear quietly.

threads that reach hundreds of posts are interesting, often debates, or friends exchanging best wishes. Not people posting because someone told them they had to.
Question Author
People seemed to answer that:
Last one to answer wins!
...
There were over 3000 when I last checked.
Surely they weren't all friends?
Hmmm...?
Are we all being counted for some kind of experiment - do we get paid to take part ?
i don't get the point anyway
*jumps on society*
yes but counting posts isn't counting people is it?

and that thread was more fun.

that didn't need a sticky...
maybe they post on that thread because there werent loads of follow up threads saying they had to post on it?

give it up as a bad job!
Are /// friends exchanging best wishes./// appropriate for this site, shouldn't or couldn't they telephone or email each other.

AB but particularly CB is getting increasing "cluttered up" by long threads of idle, stupid chit chat.
I'd like a sticky thread for my "good night" thread, saves me having to keep rewriting it :D
People will post if they really want to.

You forcing the issue is likely to have the opposite effect.

But I wish you luck... it is a truly original and inspired idea. Well done.
Question Author
No, unlike some, I won't just give up.
Now back to the original point, how do I make a thread sticky?
I think AB Ed desides if it's deemed 'sticky worthy' and then makes it 'sticky'. It's just a guess but I'm guessing it's a good one :)

I agree with Sqad - too much drivel - so whats everyone having for their dinner, have you all got your holidays booked and what are you all doing for the weekend ?
Holidays? what are those?!
I think the dinner threads are getting rather competitive.........
