Missing clue

Dear Lawrence,

Thanks for your email.

Due to a production error, the last clue in Mephisto 2578, 28 Down, was omitted from both the paper and on-line versions. On the text file I sent, it was:

28 Look into publicity for old estate (4)


I will ask the Sunday Times to accept all otherwise correct entries, whichever of the two possible words that fit has been entered, or even if the relevant square hes been left blank.

I also e-mailed Mike Laws first thing Sunday but, unlike you, haven't received a reply.

I think we all knew the solution, but it was frustrating not being able be 100% sure.

I hadn't sent in my completed grid as I was certain someone would come on AB with the answer.

Thank you, aeronut. I was fairly sure of the answer, but there was always the possibility that Aled Jones might have been pressed into service!
