Advice of answer on the site?

In the past when there was n answer to my questions I received automatically an email advisingme of this.

This no longer happens . Why is this and how do I implement it?

The system is no longer geared up for this; it may return, it may not.

Have a look in 'Suggestions', I'm certain the Ed had addressed this point in there......

This is one of the AB "services" that fell by the wayside when "new" AB was introduced, and has not (yet) been reinstated by AB.
Like lots of things they keep promising to reinstate but never do.

I thought Ed said that if you 'subscribed' to a question then you would get email notifications.

Ah,but can you subscribe to your own question just to receive notification of replies?
It was much easier before, when if you got a reply you got an advisory email.
The subscribing email is really so you can be notified when there is new answer to a thread you have already left an answer on.

Problem is MrV....I, and many other signed up with a spare email address that I've never been into since the day I joined.

Just log into SUBSCRIBE TO QUESTION and you will receive a notification by e-mail to your own question or to one posted by someone else. 'Simple' as the meercat would say!

Mr V. The answer is yes you can subscribe to your own question just to receive notification of replies. I tried it earlier.
