Dear AnswerBankers,

I hope you are well on what is, in our part of the world, a grey and dreary day.

As you may remember we had the good fortune to be reviewed in Webuser Magazine:

and a close up: http://i965.photobuck...6/SpodoC/IMG_0002.jpg

For those who didn't notice it, yes, it does seem like foul play is afoot!

It was brought to my attention here:

So I got in to contact with the very kind people at Webuser. It seems to be a semi mysterious mix-up. For some reason their questions didn't enter the system, and thus received no responses.

Webuser are going to return and give us a review in a future issue. I'll let you know when they're coming round so we can all put some coffee on, bake some bread and take our curlers out.

I just wanted to let you know that it was meant well and Webuser weren't up to any funny business!

All the best

I hope they'll publish an apology. I, for one, will not buy another issue of their magazine again until they do.

what's it called again? ;o)
I'm not taking my curlers out for anybody!

(I will try and answer sensibly anything they put in tech though)
fair enough, and if they ask after the Theft Act 1968.. I'll do my best.

I'm a blast at parties.

SpodoCommodo, not sure what we could give you. I have half a packet of Rolos on my desk, if you fancy that?

I hope you didn't accept that lame excuse.

Thousands of questions are posted every week, and the best they can come up with is - for some reason the questions didn't appear.

It is not as if it is difficult, and you would assume a magazine called WebUser would be able to master the very simple process of posting a question.

Looks more like they didn't bother to do the research.
I'll be happy with the gold paper, it's always fun to roll it up into a ball. Thanks.

Dear Gromit.

It seems they believe they had signed up, but in fact, hadn't. We have some "sign-in failure" data which shows a user using the password "webuser" (for an account they did not own). Also searches show that research was done to a degree.

They've offered us a review in compensation. I believe this to be fair.
