I feel it is a real shame ,
If one can't genuinely change a username.

So in this regard, I request you further think;

users would be changing their names just for the laugh and it would be impossible to keep up wit hwho was who.
The 'old' name could still appear in the profile.
Maybe allowing a change only once within a certain time (e.g. once or twice a year - or only on April 1st ,-) would keep the multichangers in check

squarebear.....You've raised a good point. Although it is my thought that only irresponsible individuals would keep changing their usernames and they would be sussed-out and reported to the Ed.

tara20...Your suggestions are for the sort of conditions which could apply.Furthermore if all changes were approved after personal requests to the Ed. there would be a control over matters.
