Where have all the e/mails gone.?
16 Answers
Dear Ed,
Once again I have cause to complain that I am not receiving e/mails for threaded questions and answers. Consequently, I can't resist submitting to you my altered words to the original lyrics of a well known song which was composed by Peter Seeger.
Where have all the e/mails gone ?
Long time passing.
Where have all the e/mails gone ?
Long time ago.
Where have all the e/mails gone ?
I don't get a single one.
When will they e'er return ?
When will they e'er return?.
Where have all your Techies gone ?
Long time passing.
Where have all your Techies gone ?
Long time ago.
Where have all your Techies gone ?
Gone elsewhere every one.
When will they e'er return ?
When will they e'er return ?.
Best wishes ......Rebellious Ron.

Hope you're well.
Before I look into your issue could you please explain to me how you know an email is "missing"?
A feature we've implemented recently for the subscribed threads is one where, if you're looking at a thread when a new post is added, you wont be notified of this post. This is designed to stop spam.

Good afternoon S.E. ....Thanks for promptly having replied on this matter.
It is the case that I am not receiving any e/mails to my 'subscribed' questions and proof of this is that I have not had any notification of your response in this instance. Furthermore, the same position prevails with my subscriptions to threads.
I do not feel that there is anything wrong with my e/mail connection because I still get, what I consider to be junk-mail from firms with whom I have had dealings in the past. Also, whilst I do not correspond a lot by e/mail, I have been in contact with my friend 'Itsnotme' and we have exchanged a few test e/mails
It may assist your examination of my problem by knowing that I operate via BT Broadband with Firefox as my default Browser and e/mails are processed by Windows Mail. (Itsnotme is on a dial-up connection with Virgin.net )
Incidentally, whilst my approach on issues may appear to be somewhat novel, I honestly do not think that my limited abilities could be extended to writing a genuine novel. Anyway, I appreciated your thoughts that I might be interested in the clickable link which you gave to me.
All the best.....Ron.

Hi SE.....If you are still threaded to my question, I would appreciate some comments from you.
Last Friday,e/mails started flowing again and I thought that I would give it a day or two before thanking you for having sorted-out the issue. However, yesterday,AB had a real hiccup and whilst things now appear to be back to normal, I must report that I am now back to square one so far as E/mails are concerned on threaded items.
When will they e'er return.? When will they e'er return.?

Hi again boxtops.........The thought occurs to me that, if we are not getting notification of replies to our threaded items, our Ed could be in a similar position.
Consequently, I have posted the following
