In many ways this site is very basic. I wouldn't hold out too much hope for moving avatars. Would be cool though.

Gravatar.com would probably be the better place to start petitioning, to get them to load gif's as animations rather than just a single frame

A sigbar is a graphic strip across the bottom of your entry on here much like your avatar appears on the left.

Barmaid - that was a test of using a gif in gravatar so my avatar has now changed again

I do wonder why the above option hasn't been implemented. Gravatar is an extremely long winded method of placing an Avatar on here...
