I have no idea what it was all about, but I agree with B00, people shouldn't have to have their own threads pulled because they've accidentally caused offence. By all means apologise to anyone who's actually been upset, but that's as far as it needs to go, surely?

jno - for anyone who spends a lot of time on AB I think it not unreasonable for them to show a little sensitivity to others' trials and tribulations. We have to continue with everyday life but a little thoughtfulness goes a long way, imo

Who says she wasn't showing sensitivity ttfn? Do you honestly think Bobbs posted it thinking " i'll put this on, it's bound to pee off alot of folk!"?

If we all spared a thought for others trials and tribulations before we posted anything, nothing whatsover would get posted, for fear of offending anyone.

I can't help but think that certain people have got their knickers in a twist over this because of who has made the post and not the post itself.

s Cazzz pointed out, several months ago, Bobbs did a post with the exact same post title- didn't see anyone get offended by it then. Maybe because she's fallen out of favour with certain folk on here now you reckon? ;-)

I really don't know B00. I keep checking the threads about Sylvia, mrs wbm and the Ayas et al. I am also aware that some ABers might log in for some respite from their problems or, even, to share them. Can't help my character or sensitivities. nor do I plan to change.

I don't think for a minute that any slights were intended, maybe some of us are feeling sensitive in recognition of other people's plights at the moment.

to be honest I dont understand why its become a big issue, its a common turn of phrase, used before on here without so much as a whimper.

If I was feeling down about something I wouldnt try to make someone feel guilty for posting something that they didnt know would affect me. especially as its been posted in the past without incident.
