Sick Ed

Hello, Folks...

As you have probably guessed from the title of this blog, I haven't been very well over the past few days, so the lovely Dep. Ed has stepped up and taken care of AB during my absence. He even wrote a little blog which I thought was a nice touch!

So for those of you who are still waiting on email responses, please be patient, I'll catch up with things as quickly as possible.

Development News

Our techies are currently working on the new admin and moderation facilities of the website and we hope to have them fully implemented after Christmas. This will mean that moderation is quicker, easier and generally more effective.

The Vizu poll that sat on the side of every AB page has now been removed to help website loading times. I understand that this will not resolve the overall issue of slow loading times, but it's certainly a step in the right direction.

Unfortunately we can't address the main areas of the loading issue right now as it's a very complex scenario. In short; it won't be properly fixed until the brand new website comes out. Sorry.

We also hope to be getting a feed of articles for AB, which will take shape in sub categories where people can go and read user and professionally written content. This will then develop into jokes, horoscopes and other areas that you might find in your local paper.
