Practically any exercise will help you lose weight, walking as a low impact exercise will elevate your heart rate without straining your body too much in the early stages. Water aerobics is great exercise because water provides a resistance and supports your body as well. Treadmills work, but becareful to start slowly and work up so as to not put strain on your joints and muscles. Try to also moderate your food intake to healthier choices such as low fat, low sugar foods, and try to eat more fresh fruit and raw veggies as they have better nutrition than other empty calorie snacks.
