There is an old saying - if you treat a cold it will last 7 days, if you don't treat a cold it will last a week.
At the first sign of a tickle in the throat/nose you should use Vicks First Defence - it stops a cold dead in its tracks.
Once you have got a cold you just have to ride it out. Those Contact tablets will help dry up your nose
