Britains Got Talent. Royal Marine Drummers.

Good for The Great British Audience last night for turning round the decision of the judges when The Royal Marines Bandsmen Drummers performed. Amanda Holden must come from another Planet saying she did not think they were very good.!!!!!.The Audience and Ant & Dec did not agree and the Judges had to change the vote to a yes.

Amanda is really getting on my nerves trying to copy Simon Cowell.Turning round to the Audience like he used to and being picky without having Simons expertise. I only really like The Hoff thought he would be loud and brash but he is lovely. The other two are irritating.

My Husband was in the Royal Marines and we always go and see the Bands whenever possible.The Best in The World.Probably wont win but The Queen and Prince Philip would be very happy.

I am surprised that professional musicians serving in the Armed Forces were ever given permission to perform on such a tat show in the first place.

Yes I must admit that I was surprised to see them.Perhaps they are trying to get into the entertainment business if they are due to come out of the Royal Marines shortly.There are a lot of cut backs planned.

the problem with this show that is that amanda holden must judge talent....ironic really!

Don't know how true this is, but I did read in the paper that this band had to pull out of the competition (as obviously the auditions are recorded ages ago) due to some of the lads being deployed to Afghanistan.

I hate to say it but I agreed with her (for once). I thought they were good, but I didn't think they were amazing. And I believe had they not been in the armed forces, their chances of getting an eventual yes would have been significantly reduced. I'm sure most of you will remember the Royal Tournaments - now they were staggeringly good musicians.

Didn't watch the programme as I could never bring myself to watch it, but having seen the drummers on youtube, and as much as I admire the Royal Marines Corps of Drums, I can't help thinking they were copying someone else........

Unfortunately the Royal Marine Drummers have been withdrawn from BGT by the Ministry of Defence . . . .
