Confused accent?

Can anyone work out what accent the man on the McDonald's advert for poundsaver thing is trying to do? I mean it starts of sounding a bit like a Welsh accent then does a quick Indian accent then i think finishes with a Swedish accent. Can anyone help, even a guest would do?

I thought it sounded like a really bad Dutch accent - kind of a terrible impression of Mike Myers Goldmember character.

I think he's trying to do Scandinavian like Avid Merrion. Currently the most annoying ad on tv, because of the voiceover.

i thought he sounded kind of mediterranean, maybe spanish... or latin american hm shows what I know!

It's been driving me insane too! It started off as just an Indian accent but they've changed the voice over. I wandered if there had been complaints so they had changed it to some bizarre ever changing thing? any ideas anyone??

Sorry EssJay1 i don't think Avid Merrion is suppose to be Scandinavian. He is suppose to be from Arakhynipus in Transylvania. He has more of a strange romanian-like accent .

Definitely heard a touch of Irish in there at the end when he says 'you'.

To think, some eejit listened to that and thought it was good and then paid him loads of cash to do it! I am in the wrong job!

My accents are crapper than his so I should earn a fortune!

Sorry. Transylvanian or Scandinavian I think the MacDonalds guy sounds like Avid Merrion. They both have irritating acccents - Avid Merrion and the voice over guy. (Not Scandinavians and Transylvanians!)
Definitely not Latvian, which has a lovely musical quality.

Obviously its meant to be a combination of many different accents so that it does not single out any particular one. If a single accent was used then McDonalds would be open to very petty people suing (because people with that accent can only afford to use the poundsaver menu).

being a kid and watching loads of t.v i know that the accent is ment to be swedish. dont ask how i know i just do.

Its an irish fella, almost sure he's from belfast, i have a funny feeling its your man he used to do that four music show with edith bowman dunno if he still does it, there was ad before that one with a pretty solid accent and i think they dubbed over it with this accent dunno why
