Is there no equality of the sexes in the adverts?

I refer of course to the advert that shows that Bisto woman (can't think of her name) who waves a magic wand and her appearance is transformed, but then goes on to ogle a much younger man by her side.

If the roles were reversed sand it was an older man ogling a much younger female, he would be classed as a 'dirty old man'.

And then of course there is the little matter in adverts were the male of the species is always made to look inferior to the female.

What do you mean "made to look"............
I haven't seen any of those "inferior" adverts for a long time, AOG, if you mean the "even a man can do this" sort of thing... - nor have I seen the adverts where the woman is waiting for her man to come home, with his warmed slippers...
Lynda Bellingham, aog.

Yes, an older man ogling a much younger woman would be a `dirty old man' Explains why there isn't a show on TV called `Loose Men'

Heavens Forbid that an advertiser should invest their money on advertising that appeals to their target audience!
isnt it a younger man ogling to older woman in the latest m&s advert, i like to think of them as triggs and crafty :-)
