in the 80's (i think) there was a childrens drama about a beach called doonbeach, but the children called it doom beach and if you swam to the island you died. it was australian i think and its driving me crazy trying to find out about it, or even the title. it was about pollution in the end i think. anyone, please help!

IMDb list a 1989 UK film "Doombeach" made by the Children's Film Unit (formerly the Children's Film Foundation)  and shown on Channel 4. It starred Glenda Jackson and was set around a nuclear powerstation where a boy's death whilst swimming sparks fears of a nuclear accident.
