Orange - cheeky b@stards
4 Answers
Since before Christmas I have had an unknown mobile number phoning my mobile every day but not leaving a message. It`s just called again so I answered it. It was someone from Orange (my provider). He started by asking me how my christmas was which I don`t really think is any of his business. Then he asked me to confirm my house number. I told him I wasn`t giving out personal information to a cold caller. He told me he wasn`t a cold caller and he knew my house number anyway. He got shirty when I told him I was quite happy with my pay as you go and don`t want to buy anything and he promptly put the phone down on me. I think Orange use the same charm and efficiency school as Santander. Anyone else had them cold callng? The number ends with 530, by the way.

I don`t like it when companies launch straight into jovial questions about christmas or how I am today before they`ve even said who they are. It`s a bit like answering the door to the Jehovah Witnesses.
I had a call from Orange, asking if I wanted to switch my landline from BT to Orange. I told them no. A few days later I received a letter from BT saying they were sorry I was leaving them. BT say it is common for Orange to do this. I've complained to Orange and demanded they provide evidence that I asked for this switch, but strangely they can't find the recorded phone call.
