Just been pulled over by the Police and breathalysed as part of the Summer Drink Drive Campaign in Wales. My reading was zero (- as it should have been since I haven't had a drink since 1989) but the message is simple - If you are thinking of having a drink, please don't drive.

commoner - personally, I don't have a problem with random stops and I think any responsible driver would probably think the same way. If you've got nothing to hide, where's the problem?
A friends daughter was stopped frequently she was in her early 20s but looked about 12 the police seemed to think she was a joyrider... once she proved her age with id they would find other things to check...
i got stopped once when travelling from kent to somerset about 3 am. (i was probably near the speed limit.) would rather they pulled people over than let a drinker possibly kill or maim an innocent person.
