Mark and Lards show on BBC radio 1 played a christmas song about 2 years ago and it got loads of requests. I really need to know what the song is (after all it is summer!). I think it was a b-side on an EP by some indie band (i think it went quite slow and had a female singer)...any comments/suggestions would be much appreciated!

From your description it sounds like this could be 'Your Woman' by White Town. It was requested loads on Radio1 around Christmas 1996, and was taken from an EP called 'Abort, Retry, Fail'. The singer had an effeminate voice but it is actually a man. They have a website: www.whitetown.co.uk

nah, it wasnt that. That got to number one in the charts. This song was a Christmas song and a b-side off an EP.
The song I know had sleigh-bells on it and lyrics about being on the way to Stockholm and I've been trying to find it online. The song is called "feels like christmas" and its by a scandinavian group called Low(I think). If you find it online , let me know. Hope this is the song you're after.
