All I remember about this ad, is the boy telling his Scallie mate that Ian Rush told him that if he don't drink milk, he'll only be good enough to play for Acccccccccrington Ssssssssstanley. (Ooo ar day?)

Oh yes I remember this advert! lol I use to go around saying "Accrington Stanley? Who are they?!!!" "Exactly!"
I was very young, maybe 7 or 8 yrs old. Plus, I don't know why I remember this but there was a packet of Salt and Vinegar crisps on the worktop behind them!!! I tell yer! I remember the most useless of things sometimes! 

I'll be saying that all day now!

It was a milk marketing board advert.  It featured (as I recall) a young boy - presumably talking to a friend who we could not see.  Saying that he had been told by Ian Rush - the Liverpool striker of the day, that if he didn't drink milk he would only be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley.  I think  but you can correct me, that AC is the oldest football club in England.

I think the oldest footy club in England (or anywhere?) is Sheffield FC (not Utd or Wednesday), but Accrington - not Accrington Stanley - were one of the founder members of the Football League before going bust at the end of the 19thC. Stanley took over and spent 40 yrs in the league before disappearing in 1961. They are now in the Nationwide Conference. Well, you did ask!!
