See what you think of this,I would be interested to hear your views.
My mate was in Tesco with her kids and they wanted to try the shop and scan trolley where you scan the things you buy.
She shopped then went to a normal checkout, but was told to go to a special scan and shop check out.
She told the woman there that she didn't think everything in her trolley was scanned but the lady said something like 'let's assume it has' and took the scanned trolley price to be true.
When she got home she found a couple of items that had not been scanned but she had them and did not know.
What would you do?
1.Go back to Tesco and tell them and hope they don't do you for shoplifting-ignorance is no excuse
2.Keep items and say nothing-Merry Christmas Tesco
3.Keep items and make a donation to Charity that is the same amount-keep the peace
4.Something completely different!
She is strongly thinking no 3
What do you reckon??
Happy Christmas AB ers everywhere

It was a couple of items value of around £20.00-the kids put a bottle of perfume in there that they wanted to get her and a few other bits and bobs. They where planning to pay but are worried Tesco might think it was deliberate
She is a very honest person, but also likes her freedom!
Said she will never use the scan trolley ever again-her and technology do not mix and this has put her off even more LOL!!

From what she said, the woman who worked for Tesco was not bothered, saying what she did.I would just keep the stuff, but my mate says every time she smelt the perfume it would remind her about her dishonesty.
I think she will end up taking the stuff back just to put her mind at rest.
Made me think though, the system of shop and scan relies very heavily on honesty and in the world we live in,I wouldn't like to trust people so much.Surly(as my mate thinks) there must be other security measures in place?
She is convinced that next time she goes in Tesco they will nab her,I said they would do it in the car park if anywhere when she 'did' it.
