Old TV play

Can anyone remember (or have I dreamt it?) a play on the TV yonks ago possibly starring someone like Geraldine McEwan (yes I have checked imdb and there's nothing there!) in a play about a lonely lady who makes her own clothes from a mag called L'Elegance then trots off on hols to a fancy hotel which is full of snobs who aren't very nice, then she ends up with the chef or someone like him.
I surely dreamt this, the plot is so bizarre!!!!

I thought of Hotel Du Lac as well, but having just read it I know that it's not the one I'm thinking (or dreaming!) of.
