This was a question I heard on television tonight. If you were marooned on a desert island and could hear only one song, or one piece of music, for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Chi Mai is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written even if it does win 'most inappropriate use of drum machine' award! There was a theme music album, many moons ago, which incvluded this and another favourite of mine, the 'Gentle Touch' theme by... Roger Webb?

If I ever made it on to Desert Island Discs, the other seven would be, in no particular order:
- Beethoven, Violin Concerto
- Mendelssohn, Violin Concerto
- Beethoven, Piano Concerto 3
- Toccata and Fugue, D Minor (attr. JS Bach)
- Beethoven, Symphony 6
- Tchaikovsky, Violin Concerto
- Mozart, Concerto for Flute and Harp
