Vectra C Heater Blower Motor Test..

following my previous thread all problems have been fixed and can be read in the other thread,only issue left is the heater blowers dont work on any setting,i know the resistors fail on these but normally still work on 1 setting,ive removed the glove box and located the fan and motor,at the bottom where the motor is there is a plug with 2 wires 1 brown 1 blue i take it this is the power lead to the motor?...ive removed the fan and put wires directly from a fully charged battery to the terminals on the motor nothing happens?..should it spin?..the fan does not turn by hand as freely as i think it should i cant spin it round so to speak....

I take it you have used a live & an earth wire to try? Is there any signs that water has got inside? It sounds as if the Motor has packed up, you can either get it reconed by your local Auto Elec, then you know it will be right, you can look on Ebay but you might end up in the same position in a few months time, or look on the net for a recon unit with a written warrantee.

yes put wire on live wire on earth of battery then other side on motor nothing happens.
Replace the Unit or get it Repaired.
