I've dyed my hair which is very short jet black then washed it off and have black smudges all over my ears, neck and forehead and have tried baby oil, toner and scrubbing with soap but it's still there! I have a date with a guy i'm really into in exactly 3 hours so please please please send me an angel who knows a miracle trick or tip to get it off.

Oh and t.i.a as i have to rustle up and iron an outfir in the meantime but will keep on checking back on my phone.
I can think of plenty of things you could use to prevent it getting on your skin, but nothing to get it off. I would just keep rubbing at it with a hot, soapy flannel. Don't use anything abrasive, or you'll end up with red skin!

In future, put some Vaseline around your hairline and ears and it will act as a barrier.

I have heard that cigarette ash is good for removing dye.
Mmmm, she'll smell lovely for her date!
I use baby wipes.
Just remembered something I once used.... lemon juice.

Can't remember if it worked, but worth a try.

I have heard toothpaste with it's bleaching formula will do it, if rubbed gently...but I have never tried it so be careful .
facial scrub will be gentle enough not too rub your skin raw!
When it is fresh the hairdresser rubs conditioner around the hairline but don't know if that it will work when dry
Surgical spirit or try perfume or after shave.
Just a thought, if Coke (drink) can bring a coin up to look brand new by soaking could you try it on your skin ?

WR.

I use baby wipes and baby lotions, doesn't aggravate the skin too much.

I've heard milk on cotton wool can help and have heard of people using nail polish remover but go gentle so you don't end up with sore skin, use on a little less obvious patch to try first.

I also heard if you rub more dye on the dyed bits it's meant to help scrub it (use it like a cleaner, not just rub more on) off but have never been brave enough to try it! Sounds a bit drastic and not good if it goes wrong.
hair spray
You could go as a black & white minstrel:-)
Whitening toothpaste spread on thick leave as long as possible ..rinse with cold water...
Yes also hairspray is another good option to try
