Word - Putting A Mark In A Margin For Folding
I read "how to do this" it somewhere and now can't find it.
I need to put a mark on a A4 sheet of paper so I can fold it neatly, into three. In this case it's to make a pamphlet but I would imagine it's the same with typing up a letter. Thanks

I tend to fold A4 sheets into thirds by eye as I get near enough for fitting into my inside coat pocket, or a standard envelope, or whatever. Otherwise a pencil & ruler would give you a more accurate fold. Measure the longest side (297mm), divide the length by 3 (99mm), and make your pencil marks.
You could draw a rectangle starting in the middle of the page and taking the left edge off the page. Move the upper and lower edges to where the folds are to be. Now draw a second rectangle to overlap the first, leaving a couple of mm of the first rectangle showing on the left of the page. Click on 'No Line' for the second rectangle. You'll be left with the fold marks you need. Copy and paste the rectangles into 'Header and Footer' for use on multiple pages.
