Currently sitting on a call to EDF. Recorded message said 'customers are waiting up to 45 minutes to be answered'. This is the company who spent £160milion on updating their system and employing an extra 700 staff.

I had to ring Scottish Power last week. I waited an hour and heard the same half dozen songs about 4 times each (Electricity by OMD, The Power of Love -Huey Lewis,.... - how I smiled) and then someone picked up the phone- then hung up on me.

So I called again. This time I was asked to key in my account number or agreement number, and I chose to enter the latter. I then queued again and after hearing the same tracks several times again someone finally answered. But they said it was the wrong department- I should have entered my account number not my agreement number.

How I laughed.

i refuse to enter anything, i usually get through quite quickly as the automated systems dont like it
