Does anyone know why Howard Brown the 'Halifax' man plays himself in some adverts, but in the animated one's he's got a different voice..?

It could be Equity rules - but more likely is the fact that 'voicing' is a skill that not many members of the public have, so to get the inflections they want, and to aim for consitency, it makes sense to get a professional in.
