i bought citreon ds3 diesel last year cash £12.000 . this year i maybe want to change to a vauxhall insignia 2.0 deisel. i am only getting £8850 for trade in against the ds3. i need to put a further £2000 toward the insignia , its a 2012 model whereas the ds3 is a 2011 mode.

im stuck between the 2, insurance is slightly higher for the insignia and even the insignai i have been told will do just as many miles as the ds3.

both are going to depreciate in price , what would you do ?

im tempted to go for the insignia, then again if i keep the ds3 in good nick with good service history etc then i might nbe better off ?

Neither for me....probably Skoda Octavia instead.

apparently the insignia is the best economic big saloon ?
August 2014 Motoring Which?...you should try to see a copy before you buy. They rate the Insignia as the worst big car to buy with poor reliability. The Skoda Octavia topped the list with excellent reliability and customer feedback.
(Incidentally, just remembered, a relative of mine had an Insignia and couldn't wait to get rid!)
Insignia will lose far more value than DS3
Octavia has minicab image(only car new straight to taxi) -so Rapid might be better choice
Skoda is the way.
I loved my Octavia estate 2.0Tdi but after 9m trouble free years I have moved on. To a Superb Elegance estate 2.0Tdi.
It has everything kit wise, huge boot acres of rear legroom and delivers 55mpg on a rn and never less than 45 even in traffic.
It is the perfect car in fact.
