I cannot seem to be able to get these anywhere, I used to get them from Tesco but they never have any online or in store.
i like to keep them in the cupboard - i found them handy as a quick hot snack on toast

I've just phoned Heinz for you and, as I suspected, they've discontinued manufacture of Toast Toppers. If there are still any left on the shelves anywhere, they might be in 'discount' stores (such as 99p Stores/Family Bargains, where I've bought them in the past).

I've seen this in Poundland and Everything's a Pound - at 3 different stores in different towns; Rotherham, Sheffield and Chesterfield. I'm back in Rotherham on Monday, I'll see if they are still on sale.

Slightly off topic, if you want to be retro and buy Vesta packet curries you only seem to be able to get them in discount stores as Chico mentions, not in mainstream supermarkets.
Addictive eh ? You'll have to have a word with your pusher.
Actually BAV, they've also become almost impossible to find in discount stores over the past few months. The only ones I've purchased recently were from Asda (where they just had the Chow Mein on sale). I've not come across the Paella or Beef Risotto (which is my favourite) for ages. [I did see the Beef Curry in a discount store recently but that's the only inedible one!]
I think they must make them mainly for the foreign market these days. The last one I bought was all in Dutch. I am amazed how British products written in foreign languages find their way onto the shelves of these shops. At present the tins of Heinz beans in my local discount store are all in Polish.
If you do you can be the first to try it then post a review.
My local Co-op still has a few on the shelf. Hurry... going fast!
I find it hard to believe that (a) Vesta "meals" still exist and (b) people still buy them! I thought the British culinary world had moved on since the 1960s.
Ah, yes, my first tasting of Vesta Curry, thinking how daring and exotic. But what a let down.
Diddly, I remember waaayyy back in the 60s, giving Vesta beef curry and cloggy rice at a dinner party. We thought it was the height of sophistication. I didn't know they still existed. I wouldn't give them to a dog now. Can't believe I , and many others, used to eat them !
On the subject of the 60s, can anyone remember Surprise peas? They were dehydrated garden peas (not the mushy type) and when boiled swelled up and turned a rich green colour. I remember quite liking them.
Blackie, yes I remember them. They were very green, almost an emerald green.

Loved surprise peas !

Wonder if you can make your own Toast Toppers? Not quite so convenient though :(

I'll see if I can come up with a wee recipe !
Those little tins of Chesswood mushrooms in white sauce made a lovely toast topper. Don't know if you can still get them.
