I think I may have posted a similar thread to this before, but I can't really remember !

In the Co-op this morning, I helped a lady out, to her car, with a huge great 6-pack of 2 litre bottles of water. I mentioned that perhaps she should think of having these delivered. She thought it would be a good idea, as she bought 12 bottles a week !

I told her that I had my water delivered straight to the house, by a special pipe !

I know it may be different for some of you that live in London or other big cities, where the water doesn't taste as good as ours. But I can almost see the reservoir that this water comes from, from my bedroom window, so why on earth would anybody else in my Village buy it from the supermarket !

I'm with you, Mikey. I can't see the point of buying bottled water like that. I'll buy a small bottle if I'm out, but at home I'm perfectly happy with what comes out of the tap. Several people I know do buy the big bottles. I don't really know why, except one person said she doesn't like the taste of the tap water.
The Queen will only drink Malvern water and what's good enough for her is good enough for me.
The water in my house tastes beyond disgusting, I have had to buy a filter to make it slightly more palatable, you are very fortunate for having nice drinking water.
Not necessarily big towns or cities, I live in a small village with the reservoir about 8 miles away, The water tastes foul, I buy bottled water all the time, but am quite happy to drink tap water in many places when on holiday, including city breaks.

Jack...I guess Betty has enough disposable income that she can afford to waste money.

PS...I wonder if she drinks Malvern Water while she is in Balmoral ?
Sigh! I wondered how long it would take before we got to Betty. You are so predictable.

In answer to your second question, yes she does.
I'm very lucky, our water is lovely.

Come on Jack...lighten up a little ! This is Chatterbank, not News !

How do you know, by the way, what kind of water she drinks, in Balmoral or anywhere else ? I can understand it in Buck House, or perhaps Windsor, but the Highlands ?
Our water is delicious, I usually have some in the fridge don't have a water meter, an amount for water gets whacked onto my Council Tax.

She travels with it everywhere;well documented.

Plus it tastes bloody awful.
We have very good water here. My cousin only drinks a certain brand of bottled water and is adamant he can tell the difference. I think he talks out of his bottom.

Afternoon Sqad !

I have an old schoolfriend in Watchet, Somerset, who has a rule that he never drinks any kind of water, unless it has passed through an apple first !
That incident in August was spotted very promptly, the monitoring is thorough.

All were compensated, myself included.

If people wish to purchase then that's a personal choice.
Since Lancs alert I only drink boiled water. My health is worth mor than leccy cost.

You sly old dog mikey, what a pick up line. And then to tell her that you had a special pipe, how could she resist?
