This has been banned from cinemas...what do we all think about that ?

As a christian I do not want my religion forced upon others.They can go to church if they wish to sing prayers. I don't even feel the need for a church if I wan't to quietly offer a few prayers myself. My beliefs are my own.
I wouldn't accept other religions pedalled on me either. Each to their own.

In other words .Yes it is right to ban the Lord's Prayer in cinemas. There is a time and place for God bothering and it isn't before a X rated Horror film.

I've tried to watch this newscast but didn't manage more than a minute of it. I would complain if it was played at me in the cinema. What has promotion of one single religion to do with a cinema going audience?

You could argue the same about adverts for cars or sweets, but this is quite different, quite different.

I don't find it offensive. If it's been banned as an advert that'll help it go viral! The producers could also re-launch it as a short film, with the same effect.

It does, ummmm. The company said they don't accept any religious or political advertising.

Maydup - I got the impression that although it was from a Christian perspective it was talking about the universal humanity of the emotions expressed.
Surely it's therefore an invitation for others to do similar?

For my part, as an atheist, I think this advert is inappropriate and unnecessary.

Why is it banned? Adverts are all take it or leave it. Just watching an advert break on itv. Won't buy any of the things advertised, but not offended. If atheists put together an advert would not bother me. Seems some people cannot just sit back and relax over something that is over in seconds. (unless you fear it may in fact make you think twice!)

It's banned because adverts about religion and politics aren't accepted. No doubt an advert from a group of atheists would go the same way.

The bit I find chavvy is the idea of putting the ad on in cinemas.

Not sure how it is chavvy in the defined sense but that aside I don't think such Ads are suitable for Cinema.

I won't - unless I have no other option. Very little offends me - but the sight of those indoctrinated children at 'worship' does the trick.
