My girlfriend lives in a foster home in Dubai I'm 17 and she's 16 how can she move in before age 18? I live in North Carolina USA and She lives in a Fostor home in Dubai is there any legal documents we or my parents can sign for her to move in with us or is there another way ?

Yes my mom is willing to foster her and no we haven't met in person yet however we skype daily

They should let her into the country her biological mother is from California and still lives there I also believe she was born in California and thanks Tilly lol I won't just thinking positive

What is the nationality of this young lady? Will she be permitted to enter the US on a permanent basis? My best advice is keep skyping, but get out and meet some girls in your locality before you decide to settle down. Yours is too big a decision to make at just age 17 - as is hers at 16. Why would her foster-parents accede to her request to leave for the US? What happens if, when you meet her in the flesh, you don't get on? Is she using the situation as a means to enter the US? There are so many ifs and buts.

If her mother is alive and well and living in California why is she not involved?? Ifind this a bit odd .. why is she in foster care in Dubai? If her father is from Dubai then he has full authority over her and her future. Do tread carefully here.

and the American consul there is doing diddly squat ?

there is quite a lot we ddont know
and need to know

but not really us on AB - none of us know any US state family law
and even less Dubai law
