I am amazed that there have not been complaints about this - I find it very disturbing and can imagine some children being very upset about it. I know its a serious problem but I really don't think its the right medium for it.

It says its going to shown after the watershed.
After 9pm seems sensible - I think it's a wonderful advert - Alzheimer's doesn't stop for Christmas ...
I expect there will be complaints about it but I agree with sd, I think it's a good thought provoking ad.
There have been complaints.

So Santa, a magical, ageless entity is now reduced to a statement on behalf of a health charity!
Gosh, do you remember the uproar when Santa got stuck up the chimney?
not as much as the uproar caused when mum was caught kissing him!
Good advert. Alzheimer's seems to all around us. Where was it when were young?? There must be a clue there because although we all knew a very few people who were considered "dotty" or a bit "odd" they were small in number, IIRC. Something we do now? Something in the water? Lifestyle?
I saw this today, I'd recorded something that was on quite late and I found it to be the best ad I've seen, very poignant. If children are upset by watching it, they should be in bed, the schedule can't accommodate poor parents. Of all the ads it's the only one I actually remember this year which says something of its impact.
