I got bit by insects on holiday. The bites are all pinky scarred tissue now. Skin intact but looks awful. Any recommendations? I don't want to cover myself in No7 concealer! Or go on holiday to get a tan!! Thanks.

Bio Oil is said to be helpful in reducing the appearance of scars...not sure how true that is. Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation Not cheap but lasts ages.

I used to be able to get Vitamin E capsules which contained oil. I don't know if they're still around, but if they are break one open and rub on the scars every day.

Tea tree oil.

You certainly don't want to let the sun get to pink scars if they worry you as it can make them much darker than your natural skin tone, and it can even make them produce too much scar tissue. The body is amazing at dealing with such things, it just takes time; it can take a year or so for scars to lighten.
Agree with Pasta, Bio Oil was recommended by consultant after my hysterectomy and the scar has blended in completely.
ANTHISAN (cream) is great for bites and the like - easily available over the counter. I've used it for years
Sorry, meant to say it won't conceal them, but it's good at healing them
