Champions League Final
13 Answers
I know it's Monday and this isn't the Sport section but having watched the final between Real Madrid and Fray Bentos, I have no doubt that both of them would wipe the floor with ANY team from these islands. So all you fans of our Champions League representatives, if you get drawn in the same group as any of the CL last four, never mind the finalists, expect to get a drubbing. BTW, who was the last team to stop Real Madrid from scoring in a Champions League match?

Although United were lucky to get to the Europa final you can't take away the fact that they did in win it after the 600 games it takes to reach the final. Although I'm inclined to agree with you about coming up against the last four will be tough for all six clubs (If L'pool and Celtic qualify) maybe not a drubbing for United if we keep De-Gea and not let those Spanish *** take another of our star players.
Times change, teams change, and money on buying players gets higher.
If teams were not allowed to buy foreign players, the results would be completely different, take Man City as an example, they never won nowt, till they had rich sponsors!
And Man Utd & Liverpool years ago, they won the Champions League Finals, without importing lots of players?
And on a closing note:
We might have been able to put together, a decent English side, if it had never happened!
