I heard somebody say that John Otway once sold out @ the ROYAL ALBERT HALL. Surely this cant be true ?

It's almost true - he's actually appearing at the London Palladium on 6 October- see this site for details and make sure you buy The Hit (I'm being cryptic enough to get you to check the site, hopefully!).... http://www.hithithit.com/

Yes, he did, way back in the nineties, he hired the Albert Hall and appeared accompanied by the wonderful Big Band and (I believe) the Aylesbury Youth Orchestra. Folks come from all over the UK, many sleeping on stations and in parks to make sure they didn't miss any of the concert. A wonderful time was had by all, and Otway's fame grew another few units! As Mikewith says, he'll be doing it again on 6th October to celebrate the success of his second hit. Thankyou and goodnight.
