Now, I can't be 100% certain about this, but I think that this is by The Velvet Underground. The song is called " I'm Sticking With You" and was on the album "VU". I have never actually heard this song but if you check out the lyrics on any website featuring The Velvet Underground back catalogue you'll see they are the same as the car advert.
