ANY body know what the tune is in the new vodafone advert?
The one where he ends up at his desk, with all these floating people helping him. The last person puts an Bluetooth earpiece on him.

The track is called Lola and it's by "Blend Crafters" aka DJ Nu-Mark of Jurassic 5 fame.
It's a proper throwback to the old school JB's style funk era, grat tune...shame it looses the plot a bit at the end and hence decreases it's playability!!
Check out the Blend Crafters album, very good, available on Amazon etc...
Cheers - Torchman... :o)

Well if you're into that sort of sound then definitely check out anything by DJ Nu-Mark, Cut Chemist (both from Jurassic 5), DJ Shadow, DJ Format (basically all DJ's who know their musical history) and anything by Jurassic 5 if you haven't already.
If you want to go right back to the roots of this sort of sound then definitely check out anything by The JB's, especially tracks like "pass the peas" and "more peas" (a classic), and any of the lesser commercial stuff by James Brown himself, tracks like Escap-ism, papa don't take no mess, mindpower (absolute funk gem, check the flute!), blind man can see it...all rolling style funk classics. Also check out any funk compilations by Keb Darge like the Funk Spectrum series. Hope this helps and let me know if you need any more info...
