I’m trying to identify a film for a friend it’s British, black and white, set possibly between the wars, not a war film though. A young composer and his wife go to the Alps as he’s hit a mental block and can’t finish the classical piece he’s working on. While there he works well but while they’re walking in the mountains he falls through a hole in the ice into a rushing stream and is swept away never to be seen again. She returns to England and the piece of music is played in a concert to great acclaim. It isn’t Glass Mountain or Warsaw Concerto but the music is similarly rousing. I’d be so grateful if anyone can identify it for her.
