Their Song - Your Lyrics
3 Answers
Don't think this has been done before (if it has, apologies) but, just for fun, pick a well known song and write your own lyrics to it. Don't just change the odd word - that's far too easy. I'll start the ball rolling with;
To the tune of America by Simon and Garfunkel
Porkies on the bus
Fast and loose with the voters
They said the cash would all be used by the NHS
I said, "That's super, that's made my mind up completely, now"
"Pass me my postal vote, i want to put my 'X' on it.
I listened to Boris an hour ago"
So i went to the post box
She watched 'Brexit' tv
And the pigs flew across a British sky
See if you can come up with any :-)

The Cyclist's Lament
Why don't you indicate (Indicate),
you never say, baby, where you want to go (Want to go).
But I need to know.
You just turn around (Turn around).
You're driving a thing that crush my Bones (Crush my Bones),
While you stare at your phones.
I need you (I need you), more than anyone, a*hole (Sorry for this bit, but it's a bit of a pet peeve),
You know that I'm right from the start.
So, indicate (Indicate) Buttercup, don't break my Heart * (* - Insert A.N. Other part of the Body/Bike as applicable)

Apologies to Lloyd-Webber and Rice for this one;
I had to make it happen, i'd grown obese
Had to stoop forward to see my own feet
I couldn't walk far and i had to stay out of the sun
I struggled daily
Getting around, doing everyday tasks
I got so depressed by it all
Things had to change fast, i knew
Don't fry my tea, mother dear
The truth is, i'm on a diet
I've cut the fats down
My rice and bread's brown
On doctors orders
Shrunk my plates borders

Here's another afore i go to bed; Put your hands over your ears, Lonnie Donnegan;
Oh, our PM is useless
She can't do nuffink right
She wears some dodgy outfits
And she looks a proper sight
She aint got Brexit sorted
Of that we can all vouch
She looks like death just warmed up
And dances like Peter Crouch
