For the people who don't have Sky TV just to let you know that the Cricket Final will be shown live on Channel 4 tomorrow. Busy day for sport with the Wimbledon Mens' Final and motor racing from Silverstone.

From the Chanel 4 Website "Channel 4 will carry Sky’s coverage of the cricket final from 9am. Cricket coverage moves to More 4 at 1.15pm while the British Grand Prix airs on Channel 4 with the cricket returning to Channel 4 after the race has finished.

Live coverage from Lord’s will also be available on Sky One".

Not in TV mags as they are printed well in advance.

Could have put this in Sports section or TVsection but thought it might get more hits in CB. Apologies if someone has already posted it. Enjoy!

I'm far removed from being a Cricket fan (I did enjoy playing it though)
However I always wish our Athletes well in their vocation... good luck to them.

Nice one for the info.... Bakers.
Yes, I noticed that. Surprised and delighted.
Good thinking, BD...passing this on.....

Dave will have a quiet day to watch the cricket as I’m in the charity shop.....which will also be quiet as Kerry play Mayo in the football.....If I have no customers I’ll lock up and go next door to the pub to watch....rather than come home and suggest Dave turns the TV over..... ;-)
telling doris that we're watching the cricket rather the tennis would be detrimental to my health ...

Have watched every single cricket match so not missing this one. Will record the tennis and pray some idiot commentator does not let slip the result. Sunday evening is well taken care of.
Gness... I'll lock up and go next door to the pub

Love your thinking... a good plan ;-)
This is good news - first live cricket I'll have been able to watch since, I think, the 2005 Ashes on Channel 4.
And Poldark and Uni Challenge are back, so all's well with the world....
Excellent post, BD - but please don’t blow my cover ...

... gness thinks I’ve been glued to the cricket for the last couple of days (as I have been for the last month).

But in fact (in the pause between the cricket semis and the final) I’ve actually been watching quite a lot of “fit young women in very short skirts” (aka the World Netball Finals) ...

i await gness's response :-)
Ael, I think we know where she's gone.
I have turned off the house wifi for ‘urgent maintenance’ ...
Would it be an overreaction to cut the plug off the TV tomorrow morning and take it with me?.... ;-)
... but forgotten that gness has a personal hotspot ...
think Dave will soon put a plug back on, you're going to have to take the telly

Id be way ahead of you Gness, and at the bar pondering what drink to buy to you.
You’d need to be built like a brick outhouse to get a place at the bar on a Kerry/Mayo match day, Arky - they build ‘em big round here ...
Worry not, Arky......I have an arrangement with the barman.......what’s yours?..... :-)
Ael...this telly is bigger than me.....though I do have a sack barrow.....x
Spending time with you Gness would be awesome... if your buying its a Rum for me.

Don't bother with a glass ;-)
