He keeps putting a couple of cans of beer for my husband on top of the Keter storage boxes we have at the top of the garden , only just now there was the customary two cans of beer + a 2/3 bottle of Hennessy brandy, but my husband never drinks in the house , never has done, he says it’s not the same :0(
My kindly neighbour lost his wife recently ,he’s in his 80s so I don’t want to offend him

To date we have 8 cans of mixed beers and this bottle of Brandy, Bless him
I'm very envious! I'll seen if my neighbour wants to join in! I'm like your husband normally I have booze at home but rarely touch it but in times of lockdown I've been having a wee drinky poo on Friday's and Saturday's. My intake has fallen dramatically though!
Can you leave him a nice shepherds pie or stew and a cake.

Mr Bobbs has just said he may partake on Saturday night but I don’t thinks he’s ever touched a Brandy in his life

He is amazing Bobbi, in his 80's and looking out for two sprightly 70 somethings! Lovely man.

Margie, he’s a true gent anyway , one of the old school who tipped his hat at you if he said hello
That's lovely Bobbi. We all need neighbours like that.

In fact...I think I have one.
He did shopping for me last week...and I also asked him to top up my gas and electric meters. Well...I noticed the amount on each was more than I'd given him. I want to ask him about it...but every time I see him, he's with his girl friend or kids.
pasta accept it as a gift and send one back at same value.
He'll be getting wine...and a house plant or 2 from my cuttings.
Now I'm sure he meant that as a nice thing to do for you pasta. However, it would put me in an awkward position because I'd feel reluctant to ask him to do it again next time I needed a top-up.
Ah I see, returning the favour, good idea.
Great idea pasta.
I know exactly what you mean, lb. I'm even reluctant to say anything, but not to would make me look ungrateful.
'a house plant or 2 from my cuttings.'

You sure he smokes that stuff P?
Shadduppppp! ;)

He is a great neighbour in need.
