We stood at the end of our drive and clapped at 8pm with most of the street, before lockdown I hardly knew many even after 15 yrs living in this house, when we came in there was a ring on the front door bell, Mr B answered , a gentleman handed him a carrier with a antiseptic wipe joining the handles , inside was a huge box of Ferraro Roche from my neighbours thanking me for organising last Fridays Street party, this lockdown is churning out so many thoughtful people

What a lovely gesture, well done for organising the street party Bobbi.

Lovely they sang happy birthday to the 79 year old as well.
It's lovely to hear of kind gestures, one neighbour to another, a street coming together, a village coming together and so on.

Alba, it gives you a feeling of togetherness like I’ve not experienced before
I am a bit tonight. I have been supporting a friend of Mr BM's who has been the subject of some serious domestic abuse. I just found out she moved out today into permanent safe accommodation and he has been nicked. I was so relieved I cried a bit.
Good news bm. Best wishes to your friend ..
What a load of mush. Can't you see there's no need for a lockdown? We're all being had over by this govt. A govt that doesn't care about you. Because it's determined to make life difficult for you and manipulate you. And it seems to be working.!
Oh dear. The Donald Trump of Answerbank has appeared.
I wish I lived in your street Bobbi!
