I recently bought an xbox off a friend, and i was wondering is there anyway to connect it to my brothers xbox to transfer my music and games saves over to mines, I tried before with an cross over cable, but I kept getting error messages about dns and ip address, so if anyone knows how to do it let me know, also is it possible to link and xbox to a pc and access the files stored and the hard drive for example the music mp3 files... any help is greatly appreciated

you could try getting a memory card to transfer music and games stuff, but id ask at Game first if your not sure

no to all your questions im afraid.that was one of the disappointing things with the xbox, the fact that you could network it with your pc but not access pc files.this has been put right with the 360.using a memory card is certainly one option to transfer data but would take an eternity.

there was a karaoke kit brought out a couple of years back(the name escapes me) and that did allow transfer of audio from pc to xbox but it may have only been karaoke file types but it might be worth looking into that option too.
