Quirky Anagram Quiz - Private - Please Help Before I Go Mad!

Please could you help me with a very difficult anagram that I am going bonkers over? Its a quiz set by a group privately run forum and the qs & as are like this - but what is vitally important is that the anagram MUST mean itself in other words the answer has to be like a solution to a crossword clue!

1. OLD ENGLAND (2 words 6 & 4) = GOLDEN LAND - this sort of format.

I have these others I have got already but am completely unsure if they are finalised answers, and the final one I cannot get for ANYTHING! Would be most pleased if you could help me!

2. THE MONA LISA = AH, NOT A SMILE (4 words - 2, 3, 1, & 5)
3. HMS PINAFORE = NAME FOR SHIP (3 words - 4, 3 & 4)
4. SLOT MACHINES = LOST CASH IN 'EM (4 words - 4,4,2 & 2)
5. SILVER AND GOLD = GRAND OLD LIVES (3 words - 5,3 & 5)
6. RADICAL REFORM = CALM ROD FAIRER (3 words - 4, 3, 6)
7. THE ARISTOCRACY = A RICH CATE STORY (4 words - 1,4,4,5)
8. THE NUDIST COLONY = NO UNTIDY CLOTHES (3 words - 2, 6, 6 - I am sure this one is correct and isn't it a clever answer??
9. FRENCH REVOLUTION = VIOLENCE RUN FORTH (3 words - 8, 3, 5)
10. POLICE PROTECTION = (5 words - 3, 3, 4, 2, 4)

Trouble is there are too many - and none that I could find were more than loosely related to the clue. Tried loads with 'cop' as one of the three letter words.
