So what’s the big stress with delta plus? The (possible) variation from delta.

Viruses mutate all the time and (it seems) scientists don’t know yet if this is “worse” than others.

Is it just headlining?

and that's the problem. if restrictions aren't applied and it turns out it's more contagious and/or 100% vaccine proof, it'll rip through the population and overwhelm the NHS.

Well as the vast majority of cases are mow Delta plus and its now getting mainly children/teenagers/young adults they know its a concern so its called a variant of concern. Without it covid would be pretty much disappeared here

bobinwales 22:15 no most are delta. Delta plus is a sub-variant of the variant (dunno if that's the right term?).

As of 3 days ago uk only had 40 Delta Plus cases.

NJ 22:41 my thoughts exactly. Snap for the recent headlines that this winter (starting now already even tho it's mid summer?!) there will be more than usual cases of bronchiolitis, pneumonia and flu.
